I totally agree with you about the true open source nature of OFBiz - from the goodies I could find in OFBiz, covered in this post, I could tell that these guys are really creative, looking to expand ERP beyond core functionality. I think they also made some great choices about where they want to expand - eBay and BI are great additions to SMEs looking into open source ERP.</description>

IMHO the reason why OFBiz has this huge developer activity is that it is a community driven Open Source project - in contrast to &quot;Commercial Open Source&quot; solutions where there is just one vendor behind the project
(and the Apache brand surely helps a bit..)</description>
