<description>Hi, I have found your article very interesting and I´m trying to find out how to integrate Pentaho with my Openbravo Solution. Do you have a guide or something like that?
Thanks a lot, any help will be most welcome.

		<description>Hello,

It is very cool that you work on this since many Openbravo users have shown interest in this area.

Please be aware that Openbravo is working to release this as a packaged solution, which should be available very soon in conjunction with our release 2.40, which recently entered alpha testing.
Specifically, what we are solving with this project are all the &quot;plumbing&quot; of the integration:

- Moving the Openbravo transactional data to Pentaho
- Definition of Pentaho content (reports and dashboards) on Openbravo data
- Single sign on
- Integrated security (Openbravo roles are honored in Pentaho)
- Embedding Pentaho content within the Openbravo UI

For this first project, we are focusing on a narrow functional scope (financial analysis) to get things right. After that, we intend to expand the functional footprint to an increasingly reach BI solution.

You have a complete functional description of our current integration[1] plans.

It would be great if we could align efforts. You could for example help us validating this solution. As you can imagine, it is not going to be simple to deploy the entire solution (you need Openbravo, Pentaho and CAS for single sign on, and configure the three to go together). We will provide detailed installation instructions but it would be great to have somebody testing them and verifying that they are correct and clear enough.
You could also help us proving that the solution is functionally scalable by providing additional content.

Regards,

Jordi Mas
