I totally agree that OpenERP is the most advanced open source ERP solution in terms of module availability and ease of development. It is also the only one that made module development part of its core offering, a smart approach in my opinion.

Thanks for such informative article, I discovered more for Open ERP and found, Open ERP is fully modular, one needs to implement modules as per choice. Also there are many functionalities for the integration of organization- http://openerp.com/discover/features.html its future looks promising to me.

Ravi - we cannot cover all solutions in all of our posts. We do cover many Compiere topics here. We will write a follow up post, covering other open source ERP solutions.

Hi Ravi,
The very first link that shows up on a Google search for “open source ERP” depends on local market. For example:
google.es
google.ru
google.fr
google.bg

The very first link that shows up on a Google search for "open source ERP" is Compiere. How come your post does not cover Compiere and/or the spin-off Adempiere? Could you please shed some light on those? Thanks.
