Nice article on ERP, just want to know is SAP still the market leader in ERP or Oracle is giving it a good competition with OracleApps,BAAN,JD Edwards and Peoplesoft

Jose – actually no. The term was coined much later. When the initial SAP team began working on their system, I’m not sure they knew exactly where they are going to end up. The term appeared in the early 90’s, an evolution from the term MRP.
