Free ERP Training, ERP History And Other Site Updates
A couple of important updates:
Free ERP Training
As we announced earlier this week, we will be conducting live, online, free ERP introductory sessions. The first one is coming up next week, Tuesday, March 3rd (not Monday, as was stated in the earlier announcement).
There are still a few sits left (we can have as many as 20 participants in each session). These sessions are great for anyone interested in ERP, and wants to learn the basics. Whether you are a collage student looking for an interesting career, a small business owner considering an ERP project or an IT professional looking for a new, exciting area of expertise, our free, live, online ERP courses can help you make the right decision.
Google translate for international readers
Open Source ERP guru’s global reach is growing strongly, with visitors from over 160 countries in the past month alone. We have introduced Google’s translation tool, which does an amazing job of translating web pages from practically any language to any other language. Our entire blog is written in English, so just the select the language you want to translate to from the drop down menu of the google translate widget. The Google translation widget can be found middle column. Just take a look to your right->
Interesting resources
We would like to take this chance to let you know of a couple of very useful resources on our blog, which most of you will find useful:
ERP recorded demos – over the years(2008-2009…), open source ERP guru introduced recorded flash demos of some of the leading open source ERP vendors. The idea of the flash comparator page was to provide a single webpage where you can get an immediate impression on 3 of the leading open source ERP solutions: Openbravo, Compiere and Apache Ofbiz. Each vendor has their own drop down menu with a list of available recordings, all of which were created by us. There are some additional interesting recordings from various integrations we made and some other related applications.
ERP history – the history of ERP is a very interesting reading. Learn about the genesis of ERP, with pioneers such as SAP, J.D. Edwards, and the mighty Larry Ellison’s Oracle, who would eventually swallow most of the other ERP vendors. At the bottom of the post, you will find an ERP history interactive timeline viewer.
ShareThis button – just bellow this post (and any other post or page on our blog) you will find a cute little button called ‘ShareThis’. We hope you will occasionally use it to let others know about interesting things you find in our blog. With the ShareThis button, you can use social networking tools, such as Digg, Stumbleupon, Facebook, Linkedin to share our pages and posts with others. You can also send an email with a link to a praticular post using Share This. So go ahead, share this!
We always recommend you register to our RSS feed.
