		<description>I am pretty sure the GOOGLE, NOVELL, and IBM each contribute more open source code then sun does or did.  Java was never fully release to the open source world.  and MySQL is being branched off by Monty Widenius so that it will remain open source. So a small but bumpy loss to opensource as far as development goes.
     Flash has been overtaking Java on the web application side of things.  So this is probably going to be a nonevent as far as future changeover.
  Overall this is going to be a nonevent.  Like HP buying Compaq.</description>
